  • Trying to create ‘New Line Cinema’ logo effect

    Hello.

I’m trying to create an effect similar to the New Line Cinema animated video logo.

I need various letters of effect (with a slight 3D value) that rotate and spin as they fly past the camera on the screen.

The screen has a light source from directly in front which backlights the letters as they fly in.

Does anyone have any tips on how to achieve this effect?

    Thanks in advance.

I would use Fractal Noise and Trapcode’s Shine to create the backlight and Zaxwerks Invigorator (however they spell it, I can’t be bothered to check) for the 3d thingies.

How good it looks depends upon how good your tweaking is.

That effect is simple in a full 3D package like Lightwave, so that would be my first choice.

I agree. It can be done in AE with plug-ins, but a 3D package would be the ideal place to create it.
