  True 4k options for 2013 mac pro?

  Hi BMD guys. Trying to decide whether to go for a nMP and therefore make sure it can do what i want…

  Have a DL EXTREME 3D+ at the moment, which i obviously can’t use. But we have a sony 4k projector which has a HDMI 1.4a cable wired up for my workstation. I was hoping the hdmi port on the new mac would give me full 4k output to external ref monitor (the projector) rather than just extending my workspace canvas…but i’m reading it doesn’t and also doesn’t support hdmi 2.0.

  Thunderbolt ultrastudio 4k appears to be my only option, but a bit pricey considering i only want 4k monitoring in PPro/Ae and not full capture/breakout at this stage. Any other solutions?
