true 1080p display?

Hi is it possible for a plasma to show 1080p or does it always display 1080i. Now they added 1080p to the easy setup but but not for dvc prohd. I think I have read here that i doesn’t matter if you would set the output to 1080i (which i must since i cut in dvc prohd) cause the display will always show interlaced in 1080. Just wanted to make this clear.thanks

I found the post i been reading. In 1080p you always display interlaced.

If you have a 1080p Plasma, sure. Panasonic has a few out there now.

you can always send a 1080p signal and check. You don’t need an easy setup for it.
