Troubleshooting: Hand Tool doesn’t always work (video link of problem)
I searched “hand tool,” and don’t know where else to turn than just ask one of you.

^ Around 33 seconds you can see me trying to move the composition around with the hand tool, and AE being non-responsive. This happens very frequently.
Years ago I did a giant AE composition with nearly 5000 3d layers, and found that AE had some glitches when you introduce so many layers. Some layers would flicker, disappear, or even move. I talked to Adobe on the phone and they confirmed that that was just a limitation of AE.
Is this hand tool glitch known to any of you? Is this due to the fifty 3d layers I have? Do any of you use more layers and have no problems with the hand tool?
Running CS5.5. I’m thinking about installing CS6 trial just to fix this.

For the orthographic views I highly recommend using the camera tools to navigate around instead of the hand tool.
