So, I am running an into issue reconnecting PSD files in Final Cut.

I work for a DVD authoring company, and I’m often sent low resolution quicktime files and a photoshop file to build a menu from. I import these into a Final Cut project, after minimizing the amount of layers in the photoshop file as much as necessary. The I post the project and the psd to an ftp site, so the files can be reconnected to the high res quicktimes at our main office.

Every now and then I will run into an issue where the psd does not reconnect properly. Recently, I posted a psd to our ftp site with two layers. When the psd was downloaded in our main office and reconnected, we get a warning indicating that there are not enough video tracks. When I select “OK” the psd shows up, but every track appears to have the entire image on it. SO its just two layers of the exact same thing. Which doesn’t help.

Any idea whats causing this? Or how I can work around it?

ANy thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
