    Hello,
I’m having trouble opening a dvd and exporting it to quicktime so that I can import it into final cut. On DVD player, the DVD has a running time of around 56 minutes (divided into about 10 chapters). When I open the dvd in Mpeg Streamclip, I am about to access the following files: VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB, VTS_01_4.VOB, VTS_01_5.VOB. However, on Streamclip, these files only play for 5 seconds. I opened the DVD again in Mac the Ripper to see if I could re-rip the files but I had the exact same problem.
    Is this fixable?

    Thanks
    Katie

    Give this a try:

Instead of opening as a DVD, go to “File > Open Files…”, select VTS_01_1.VOB, and when asked if you’d like to open all the files together, click “Open All Files”. If asked to fix timecode breaks, do so.
