    I’m working with Pro 1.5 with a Matrox RX100.

I recently bought a widescreen camera. When I capture, I see vertical black bars on the capture screen (so everything is squished).
But when I am editing, I can see that the project is in fact 16:9. Nothing is distorted. (Is there anyway to fix that? Does it need fixing?)

But when I export the final product, it will only export 4:3. I even selected “16:9 anamorphic video” in the exporting options. Nothing I do will seem to make it true, non distorted widescreen.

    Help! (And thanks 🙂 )

Sounds like you are doing things correctly…it is viewing the finished project that is your problem. Widescreen can only be viewed correctly on a stand alone DVD player that has been set to widescreen. Some players will do this automatically, others not.
PC monitors only display square pixels and yours are very not.
