I wanted to make a text explode so I applied the shatter effect and when I manipulate the strength parameter it all looks great but as soon as I keyframe the strength, it stops working.
The text was made using the Zaxwerks Invigorator Pro plugin.
I rendered the text as quicktime with RGB+Alpha and imported it into the comp. Then applied the effect.
I tried all sorts of settings inside the Shatter effect but I can’t get it to work. It feels like I’m making some sort of fundamental error.
Can anyone help me with this one?

Select the layer and hit the “U” key twice quickly. This shortcut key shows properties that have changed from their default value. Then report back with either a screen capture or list the property values out here.

ALternatively, you can duplicate the layer and switch one of the copies off. With the viewable layer selected, Goto its Effect Controls panel and click on Shatter’s Reset button (note it’s actually just the word “Reset” but it functions as a button.

    Thank you for responding.
I actually just found the solution 10 minutes ago.
It’s not the ‘strength’ parameter that I must keyframe but the ‘radius’. See, I was right in thinking I made some fundamental error. I was concentrating on the wrong thing because when you manipulate the strength you see the explosion happen, so I naturally thought that that was the parameter to keyframe. But it’s the radius i must use.
    Anyway, thanks for your trouble.
