Trouble with ProRes 422 playback
Finally took the plunge into ProRes, but I’m having some issues.
System Specs:
Quad Core 2.5 G5
10.4.11
Quicktime 7.3.1
4.5 Gigs of RAM
GeForce 6600
FCP 6.0.2
Kona 3 with Kbox (version 4.0 software)
Ciprico U320 1.2 TB Array (Raid 0)I used an IntelMac to transcode AVC-Intra P2 files into ProRes 422 (1080 x 1920 23.98)
The ProRes files seem to play fine at the finder level, but FCP is totally hanging on loading clips and refuses to play back.
Additionally, my Kona output is not displaying to my Panasonic BT-LH2600 monitor.
Loading a DVCProHD project works fine – my system acts like it should.
What’s the problem?

Forgot to update my Kona drivers.
