    Cannot figure this out.

    I use CS3

When I export HDV, the finished video is terribly jerky. I guess it is my computer system causing the problem, but I don’t know what will fix it. Do I need more RAM, faster speed, what? Or am I exporting wrong?

    Here are the details:

    Shooting HDV, 1440x1080i
Intel dual core 6600 @2.40 GH
    3 GB RAM
    GEForce 9500 GTE video card

    Is that sufficient?

What setting in CS3 should I choose for exporting?

    Hi Clay,

When you say exporting, does that mean Print to HDV tape, or export to a web format or other?

Anytime you export to a web format, you should DEINTERLACE the video. In the Export settings, you may have a “deinterlace” checkbox, otherwise set “Fields” to “Progressive”.

I need to export to a wed format. I do deinterlace. The problem is very jerky stuttering playback.
I assume I need to upgrade something with my system, but need to know what and how much.
