trouble with chroma key
I am attempting some green screen work with Avid Adrenaline using the BCC Chroma Key effect. It looks pretty good but I would like to add the other BCC effect “Matte Clean up” or “Matte Choker” to sharpen my edges. This is the first time I have tried these plugins and cannot seem to get the matte choker to work. I have auto nested the choker on top of the Chroma Key and it does not work. I have checked apply to title matte and still have had no success. Any advice from someone with more experience with chrom key work?

Hi there, I can’t be a lot of help with Boris as i have tended to use Ultimatte or the other bundled avid keyers. but i did think of something i have found useful with those keyers and it might work for you. If boris lets you ‘show alpha’ then do a video mix down of that key. Use the video mixdown as a matte key, then i think you will be able to use boris or avid’s 3d matte key to choke the key as you need.

Do you have the tutorial CD for BCC? I too am relatively new at using BCC chroma key but I have had good success in following that step by step.
