December 23, 2008 at 4:57 pmHey George,
After having several issues outside of Vegas I decided to just do a clean install of Vista 64 and re-install V8.1.
I went to see if my preview device worked and it did ….flawlessly.
However I received the card you suggested yesterday and installed it this morning (since it’s faster than my old one).
I’m back to square one as Windows is saying it can’t find drivers or software for it.
When I booted up after installing the new card, Windows installed Texas Instruments drivers with a date of 6-21-06.
The deck is showing up under Imaging Devices…FWIW.
Any suggestions…. other than install my old card again? Thanks,
Randy -

December 26, 2008 at 11:47 pmWhat kind of computer is it…motherboard? make bios, drivers…Are you dual booting is it a fresh install of x64? are you running any other programs antivirus? what is your graphics card? Have you run a hd test utility or mem test util? try fresh install of vista 64 and update using windos update, after wiping with killdisk or other disk wipe/format util…only install vista and then run(not save) vegas update from vegas update download site high bandwidth connection required…what is the format of the tape, was the footage recorded on the same device you are trying to play it on?

December 27, 2008 at 12:10 amI’m just trying to wanting to use the JVC SR-VS30 to utilize preview monitor. From another post from you I was hoping the ADS Pyro PCI 64R2 you suggested would resolve the problem. What drivers show up for your JVC SR-VS30 and firewire card?
Thanks,

December 27, 2008 at 9:09 amDoes Not Seem to be a very well thought out system…NVIDIA GeForce® 7100 Chipset running an ATI Radeon HD 2400XT 256 MB video card? My pc was a refurb from dell…it is inspiron 530 has an INTEL g33 chipset(when I look to do these video programs I always look for INTEL chipset) it cost 384 shipped from dell 4gb(8gb limit 🙂 500gb 8usb sata2 6600 intel quad…If it is still avaliable to ship back save yourself the headache…I have not ever had a good axperience with an NVidia based Mobo, I’m sure there are some quality implimentations but…If you want to stop banging your head, Get a 530 quad dell.
