Trouble viewing work on external monitor in Vegas 5

Hi

I just wanted to say thank you to all those who tried to help me.

I am pleased to say that I finally got the external monitor working and the picture showing in the camcorder.

The “A/V DV OUT” setting should have been set to “OFF” within the camcorder. I suppose it’s logical when I look back on it as the signal will have to go “OUT” of the camcorder when capturing to the hard drive and then set to “OFF” so that the signal (time line) can come back up the fire wire to the camcorder.

I did try this earlier, I think on Jeremy’s advice but for what ever reason it didn’t seem to work then but I’m very grateful for everybodies help.
