Trouble updating 6.0.1 to 6.0.5
I’m having trouble updating from 6.0.1 to 6.0.5. Every time I run the Pro Applications Updates, 2008-01 – 2008-05 they update everything except FCP. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Did you run all the software updates available? You have to run multiple updates in order for everything to come up from 6.0.1 including Quicktime and possibly the OS.

Yes, everything has been updated. In fact now software updates finds nothing to update.

This was one of those very simple things. Apple tech support said the first thing to do was make sure the app itself was not in any folder within the Applications folder, which it was. If it is the updates can’t find it. I removed it, put the app outside the Final Cut folder in the Applications folder and problem solved.
