    Trouble transcoding.

    I’m trying to transcode video that I’ve downloaded from vimeo to ProRes and I keep getting an error in mpeg streamclip that says Error: can;t prepare the movie. I’ve also tried to use quicktime 7 but the export is just a quicktime of a white screen.

    Has anybody ever seen this? Any suggestions.

    what is the format (codec ) of the video file?
    you may well need to instal Perian

    Hey Nick,

    Thanks, it’s a h.264 mp4. I was able to do it using compressor. Strange.
