  • Trouble labelling clips by color in timeline

    Hey everyone,

I’m editing a series of extensive interviews and I’d like to organize clips by topic and theme using colors. The only issue is: when I edit a clip and label it with a specific color (rose for instance) every clip in the timeline associated with this spliced clip’s video file is suddenly labelled “rose.”

If I drop a clip into my timeline labelled A005.mp4 and splice small section from it using the razor tool. When I try to label the small section Rose, it works for a second or two. The small spliced clips is rose, the rest of the clip is its original color. And then, suddenly every piece of video from A005.mp4 is labelled rose.

Would really appreciate any trouble-shooting tips!! Thanks everybody.

Turn off in the Project Settings / general
Display the project item names and label colors for all instances.
