i just purchased and installed Avid Xpress Pro and it says there was an error in installing “digidal.kext”
i don’t know what that is.
But when i double click on the Avid icon in the Applications folder it appears for a second in the dock and then disappears. that’s all. the program doesn’t boot up at all. What could be the problem?

System specs? Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling XPro? Is your dongle hooked up to the computer?

It’s not the tool you use, it’s the end product that counts.

    i’m using a PowerBook G4, 1.67 ghz, (no intel).
i first tried installing Avid (no Mojo) last week with the dongle in the USB port when i was on OX 10.3.9 and it said error installing. So I called Avid (it was during the week so i was able to talk to them), and she said the problem was i needed to upgrade to OSX Tiger. So I went ahead and purchased/upgraded to Tiger and re-installed Avid. Maybe i should have checked to see if the Avid (though not working) was already installed and to de-install first. But i didn’t. (although i doubt that’s the problem). And now it says:
