    Hi folks.

I’m trying to import panasonic p2 footage on final cut 5.0.1 but the following error message appears: “One or more P2 clips failed to import; probable incomplete or corrupt clips”.

But the strange thing is: the same files were correctly imported on the same final cut version, but on another mac. Anyone knows what’s going on??

    Thanks in advance!

What format is the P2 material? P2 is card format and says nothing about the video format. If the material is in DVCPRO HD you can download from Apple a DVCPRO HD QuickTime component that will work with FCP.

    All the best,

YOu need at least 5.0.4 to import Panasonic P2 clips. The option was in the menu for 5.0.1, but wasn’t fully activated. YOu need FCP 5.0.4 and QT 7.1.3 minimum to import.

Also, make sure you have the lastclip.txt file in addition to your media files.
