Trouble Importing MXF files

Are you using the Log and Transfer tool? FCP does not play MXF files directly, it transcodes them to QuickTime with the Log and Transfer tool in FCP.

Nope, Can I try that way in 5.1.4? I had been told to just do it as Import> Panasonic P2.

I’m sure you overlooked the post. Log and transfer was introduced in FCP 6.
