Trouble importing in Premier pro 7

April 4, 2005 at 10:25 amI have several large DV avi files (10+ gigs) which I captured using a third-party program, and I am trying to import them into Premier, but Premier only seems to import the first 5 minutes correctly. After that, it will only display the frame at the 5 minute mark.
I tried setting an in and out for the import, but same problem. If the i/o points were after 5 minutes into the clip, only a single frame lasting whatever duration was imported.
This is not just a lag or something, I tried exporting from premier and it was the same.
Any ideas? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

April 4, 2005 at 12:32 pmWhat 3rd party capture app?
There are many DV codecs, some support files only up to 2 GB.
There 2 Microsoft DirectShow DV codecs, Premiere only works with type 2. ( -

April 4, 2005 at 3:48 pmI used iuVCR to capture. I tried importing the video on a computer with Premier Pro 1.5 (instead of 7), and it seemed to work fine. Strange…
