Trouble getting clips from Sony SXS cardreader into CS4
Hi, I am having troubles with importing clips from Sony SXS reader to my APPro CS4. I was wondering if anyone could please tell me what I should do to solve this problem.
I have transferred all clips from Sony SXS reader(INPUT Files: .XML/.MP4 format) to Output Files ((.MXF format = .MPEGHD format) using clip browser s/ware to the desktop. So it’s in the harddrive. So then I tried to grab the files(with file extension .MPEGHD to the Project window of CS4. Then it says under “XML Files” that “File import failure and the file format not supported.
I hope u all will explain things like to a amature, as I am not familier with this type of file conversion. Ur help is much appreciated.

Can you explain why you’re using the workflow you’re devised?
To the best of my knowledge, Premiere CS4 supports XDCAM EX MP4.
While this material is dated and I think some of the workflows are flat out risky it’ll still give you something to go on if you’re a beginner.
