    Hey all,

Occasionally during playback, my program monitor will become glitchy and- honestly, I don’t even know how to describe it. It looks like a technicolor seizure. The glitch stops when I pause and I can’t discern a solid method to predict when it’ll happen. Anybody experience this? I’m hoping I won’t have to replace my graphics card, but I’m honestly not much of a tech guy so I have no idea.Hey all,

Does it still happen whenever you close the program and reopen it? That is pretty weird… and have you also tried to restart the computer as well? Usually if I have an application glitching out or lagging like that, a restart will help.

If that does not help, try opening a New Project. Then select File > Import > Select Your Premiere Pro Project that was giving you that glitch issue.

Let me know if any improvements have been made for this. Best of luck!

It’s a problem I’ve been dealing with for a few months now across a number of projects. Usually a restart will stave it off for a little while, but it seems to always return.

Ohh wow I see! Have you ever tried to uninstall the app and reinstall it again? It could be a hidden file somewhere causing your Premiere Pro to glitch like that. Uninstalling it may remove the glitch but no guarantee.

I’ve tried it once a while ago, but I’ll give it another go and let you know if it helps!

My first thought was wondering about the graphics card and if it was about to die. Or a RAM module. Or over-heating? My encouragement would be to also start with reducing playback from Full to 1/2 or 1/4 and see if it still happens. Might also be related to GPU playback, so switching it to Software Only processing could be another troubleshooting step. And lastly, I don’t know if Premiere’s “Dogears” would tell you anything more about it, but worth a shot (CMD+Shift+F11, on a Mac; unsure of PC–look it up).

    Joby.

Do you get the same results using other Adobe apps e.g. AE?

How about other NLE’s e.g. FCPX, Avid, Resolve?

Just wondering of its a graphics driver conflict.
