tripod parts for Sachtler…
at my work, we have three sachtlers, and all three have broken spreaders. B&H wants 200 bucks a piece for replacement spreaders…
does anyone know of a better solution (off-brand replacement parts, etc)? Are there companies that make parts for other tripods? Sachtler’s spreaders are flimsy as heck…so even if I wanted to spend 200 bucks per tripod, I’m not sure that they won’t be broken again in a short period of time.

I’ve worked with Sachtler tripods for 20 years and NEVER had a problem. They are built very well. That is why you get what you pay for.

What do you mean “get what I paid for”…I paid for a Sachtler and the spreaders broke. Of the four Sachtler’s at my work, three have broken spreaders. Design flaw, but these weren’t cheap sticks.
