tripod / head suggestions?
Hello,
I’m in the market for a tripod & head. Interested in hearing what people would suggest for someone using a dvx100a doing documentary, run & gun, interviews, etc.
Iwas using a manfrotto /bogen 3066 (i think).
looking up to $800 range.

If you’re using the DVX without a bunch of heavy batteries and heavy accessories, you can use the Bogen 503. The next step up is the 510 or above, like the 516. We have them all and I use the 503 most of the time. It’s lightweight and lasts forever.

Is the 503 better than the 501 other than features?
I have heard the 501 is the lowest priced true fluid but I have also heard it’s the 503?

The 503 is an improved 501 and I thought they discontinued the 501
