Trimming (timeline)
Hi,
I‘ve posted this before on the Basics Forum but since it remains unanswered I’m posting it here also.
I would like to know if there is a way to trim an event IN or OUT point with just one keystroke (after placing the cursor at desired spot of course). Maybe it can be done through scripting? Thanks.Best regards,

I have a script (written by John Meyer) that generates an INPOINT (it cuts the event from the cursor up to the start of the event).

And another scripts that generates the endpont (also written by John Meyer):
122_deletefromcursor.js.zipI don’t know whether it will work in your version of Vegas but you can try.

Hi Theo,
Thank you very, very much that was exactly what I was looking for. The INPOINT script works flawlessly but the OUTPOINT script, unfortunately, does not work with Vegas 9. I have assigned the INPOINT script to the key “N” and now I can effectively trim the event IN point with just one keystroke. Now if someone could make the OUTPOINT script usable with Vegas 9 that would be truly appreciated. Thanks again.Best Regards,
