Trimmer Window
I was playing around with the video media generator, and screwed something up (using Vegas 8.0). I tried to drag and drop something from a “pop-up window” that I was editing in, and now all my generated media shows up in the trimmer window (instead of in it’s own pop-up). How do I revert back to the old way…where I can edit something (text, etc.) in an extra window, rather than the small trimmer window?
I’m not sure if this makes sense, but any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m quite annoyed by it.

There are 2 possible solutions for your mess:
1) open the default lay out via VIEW-WINDOWS LAYOUT- LOAD DEFAULT LAYOUT
If that doesn’t work then
2) Hold CTRL + SHIFT during start up of Vegas. Then you should begin with a fresh start…And text editing? I do it in the text editor…

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I had already tried loading the default layout, with no success. But the CTRL + SHIFT trick absolutely worked. I really appreciate the timely response…I was driving myself insane!
