When I scrub a clip in the trimmer window, I should be able to press “i” to select a new in point and “o” for an out point. But when I do that, nothing happens. I can select the little yellow triangle and scrub it up to the out point and so create a selection, but I can’t figure out why the i-o combination isn’t working.
It isn’t something that bothers me overly, but I believe it should work. Anyone got an idea why it is – or isn’t – so?
Vegas Pro 10d (not e ’cause am i the middle of a big long project and 11 is on its way).

[Phil Seymour] “I should be able to press “i” to select a new in point and “o” for an out point. But when I do that, nothing happens.”

That works for me so it should work for you (although I’m using Vegas Pro 10.0e so maybe it didn’t work in 10.0d?) Did you remap I and O to something else. It should just work.

Is gotta be something to do with me, John. I opened an old Vegas 7 that I had on another computer and it won’t do it either. And no, I haven’t remapped any keys. I’ll go to my favourite ruminating place and ponder – or ruminate – or both.

I and O do not work if “Collapse Loop Region” is turned on in the preferences.

And the kewpie doll goes to….
Well, where did you find that one out? From writing scripts, I guess, but thanks for solving my problem!
