  trimmer greyed out

  when i’m right clicking on a clip to open in the trimmer…The trimmer is greyed out…..on all my clips……so I couldn’t open them in the trimmer……But…I could access my clips from a drop down box on my trimmer. Why’s the trimmer greyed out?
