    Isn’t there a way to change the trim indicator from roll to ripple (red to yellow) just by hovering above or below the opacity line on a clip? I used to have this option but not after I had to reinstall on my new computer. Thanks for the help. (CS 6)

    Try going to Preferences > Trim. Make sure that “Allow Selection tool to choose Roll and Ripple trims without modifier key” is enabled.
