    Hi

    I have AE 7

How can I take a logo and spin it, in a 3-d way that sort of turns into a tornado motion…I did a search and read thru some of the 3d camera, knull layer stuff but i’m not sure if that’s what im looking for…imagine the logo (for a roller coaster) starts to spin in a 3-d , 360 degrees so we see the back of thne logo…and picks up speed eventually getting motion blurred so it’s not readable…

    can anyone help?

I’d really appreciate any feedback…..thanks in adavnce.

I would say that you would start by offsetting the anchor point in z-space…then using the rotation animate using a big ease on the outgoing keyframe. Set the motion blur quite high (360 and up). Sell the shot by adding some particles.

    mark & mbevilacqua….thanks you very much….

In Zaxwerks…I need to bring in an illustratr file, right? What if I have a regular pict file…can that work w/ Zaxwerks?

Mark–have do I specifiacally isolate the anchor point position on the Z axis? There’s obviously ONE anchor point…do I go to the Z position and center it? Do I need a Camera layer on top of the logo layer?

    thanks again….really appreciate it guys.

How can I bend the edges? Distort?

No you don’t need a illustrator file.
Just map you pict to a layer, specify in the effect what pict should be seen when looking at the “back” of the logo and start deforming the layer as you spin it in 3D space to get the effect you need.

    Take a look at theese:
