Hello, I am new to the forum here and hope someone can help here.

I am working on adding more cameras to my workflow. Is it possible to network a Blackmagic Design ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K to a Tricaster xd455. I am needing to have 8 cameras and thought this would give us more camera sources (ATEM hardware controlled by a laptop running studio control software) as one source on my Tricaster. I could then have the remaining sources (2-4) on the Tricaster dedicated to commentary, aerial footage etc. and still use the Tricaster for commercials, titling, keying etc.

I assume this would work as it outputs an SDI source the Tricaster can ingest?

    Thank you for any help!

    Joel

    It should work.
Your tally lights, assuming you have them, won’t track properly and you’ll likely have some additional delay in the camera video since it is going to go through two sets of video frame sychronizers but otherwise all should be OK. If you are sending a reference signal to the Tricaster, send the same signal to the reference input of the ATEM switcher as well.

Not my monkeys. Not my circus.

Great, Thank you. Wishing I had started with individual hardware but it is what I made it!
