Hi all! Maybe this question is stupid, but I still don’t understand how to do a trembling(shake) line effect in after effects. I talk about effect like in this video https://vimeo.com/134093425
It’s remind me handrawing animation. Maybe they use displacement map effect with some dusty animated textures? And i don’t think that this is wiggle paths effect in the shape layer. Would be nice to hear your thoughts about how to create this animation style.

    Hi !

in your example video, I think base material is vector drawing, Imported in AE and turned into shape layers, with a “wiggle paths” Added to it (from the “Add” drop-down menu of the shape layer).

more details here (the wiggle path part start a 2:40) :

also, you can decrease framerate (between 12 to 16 fps) to give it a “hand made” feel using the Posterize Time over your precomped main composition.

Thank you, it’s a good idea, but I need something a little more dusty and random. In any case, I will try your method.
