Do you usually have Anton Bauer batteries at the Varicamp?
I really don’t want to pack batteries and a charger, but I am only setup for Anton Bauer on my Varicam and Monitor.Ray Palmer, Engineer

There will be IDX batteries at the VariCamp as they are a sponsor. However there will be IDX to Anton converters available so you won’t have to bring batteries. So don’t worry about batteries. There will be plenty of power including AC.
See you there and Happy New Year.

Had they done what they said, everything would have been just fine. They switched planes on us at the last minute and there was NO cargo space inside. And, don’t think I gave it up without a thorough assurance by the airline person that they “have done it a thousand times”.What crap!

January 24, 2006 at 4:59 amI have been travelling on various airlines for 15 years at least 3 times a month covering various sporting events and I ALWAYS check the camera in a hard thermodyne type carrying case with the preformed foam and I have never had a problem. I would separate the lens from the camera and pack it in the same case. I think you risk the chance of more damage by hand-carrying the camera [like described above] not to mention the pain of having to schlep it everywhere and deal with security. Good luck and safe travels!!
