Let me put apple boxes under that steed of yours, and give you a higher horse, Tom. Now that the app is mature, it’s time to go back and grout the tile.

It’s well and good to add the newest, hippest things, but let’s also support the small needs and make it really “Pro”.

For example, I don’t think pros really need the sequence to auto-match the first clip dragged in, but they sure need variable prefs by project, and clearer media management, and strong timecode.

yeah, that would be my first choice, heck it even saves your favorites, and for free.

I’m telling you guys, try Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion… Its free and it saves any and all prefs that you can specify by just checking or unchecking a few boxes, and it can be project oriented.

So, for instance, you can save a set of prefs for your HD projects called “HD prefs” if you desire, or a set of prefs for your SD projects. Its a way elegant utility that does not only what FCP Rescue does, but so much more.

Whoa pardner! Maybe we “shouldn’t” need the auto-match but it sure is nice to have. I agree with the rest of what you say.
