trapcode training
is there anywhere to learn how to really use the trapcode products well. I just don’t feel like the tutorials and manual tell you how to use the products to their fullest. I just saw the article on apples site about beleif and how they use particular and i was blow away.

So i was curious on where to find more info/tutorials on their products, this would be a great DVD training series if someone knew a lot about the products.

Hmm, that would be difficult. Unlike with certain effects there is not much of a linear workflow or learning curve – Trapcode filters can be used in so many ways (as of course also can be some AE native effects which are rarely explored), it’s impossible to cover all possibilities. This is more so true for tools as Particular. By the very nature of it there is a trillion ways to tweak particle shapes, dynamics, layer emitters and whatnot. To say it short: You never can have all possible particle simulations already made up. Some experimentation and tweaking will always occur as you go along with your project. If you could be more specific about what you are interested in, I’m sure Peder, myself and other nice people would be glad to help you out with tips and tricks or even write a tutorial.

I really liked the effect they did on the Zoom logo. It had circles “dots” that had a glow and the effect of the people as a custom partcle. I just didn’t really know there was so many ways to use the plug in, i guess you get your moneys worth. I am looking at a way to jazz up my logo and that is why i wanted to learn more about particular.
