    Hey lovely people,

I hope to solve a problem with the help of this amazing forum, that has been giving me answers to so many questions in the past. Only this time, I wasn’t able to find a solution…

    >> Is there a way to have several layers with the TAO effect applied in one comp and define one specific light layer for each one of them?

    or in other words

    >> How can I provide a TAO layer to follow/use all lights (that are named “TAO…”)

I have tried to precomp each TAO layer and it’s designated light, but since their path intercept in 3d space it’s not a solution.

I’m curious to see if anybody discovered a workaround for this.

    Thx a lot 🙂 flo

I don’t have Tao myself, but I do have Particular. With that plug-in, you can specify the name of the light the effect will follow, by default its Emitter, but you can change this in the effect controls. Is there a similar option with Tao?

    Hey Graham,

thanks so much for trying to help me out.

I double checked again, but sadly in TAO I could not find such a choice. The (every) TAO effect just uses every light that has “TAO” at the beginning of it’s name.

I also haven’t found another workaround yet.

thx again and all the best,

    flo
