Trapcode PArticular or Shatter Effect – to achieve this??
If I had footage of a person shot in front of green screen, and I wanted them to explode into pieces/freeze and then use a 3D camera and orbit around them….would shatter effect be better for this or Particular? I have heard that some people use Particular to create such an effect like bursting an object into a bunch of small pieces but do not know how.
The reason I would want to achieve this in Particular and not Shatter as I feel it has more depth as a 3D object.

I’d use Particular, the Physics Time Factor makes stopping time incredibly easy, and I think it behaves nicer in AE’s 3D space.
