So I’m having some frustrations with Particular. I’ve got a four-layered particle explosion.

    1st layer is a 2.5D butterfly.
2nd layer is a colored sphere.
3rd layer is an alpha matted streamer (aux emitter).
4th layer is a smoke thing

I’m gettins some weird flickering on the spheres and butterflies. Here’s a youtube link. It’s low-res, but you can see the problem at around 6 seconds in on one of the bottom butterflies. Not all of them flicker, mind you – just a couple; but in full-res it’s definately noticeable.

Has anybody else run into this? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Maybe it’s me being tired, or youtube being youtube – but I don’t see any flickering 🙁

Also that’s very nicely done i might add – good job 😉

    Thank you.

Yeah – it probably is YouTube being YouTube. It’s hard to see, but if you look at the red butterfly on the bottom (it’s bigger) between 5 and 7 seconds, you can see the luma kind of drop out for a frame or two. It’s very frustrating.

But I’m glad you liked my work.
