    Hey guys!

As you all know, Tracode Particular is an excellent plug-in.

I’ve watched Belief’s crowd (that you can see here) made with particular yesterday and it impressed me a lot so I wanted to do something similiar, and easier, of course.

So I did a lill’ red ball who’s jumping in the air that you can see here and I wanted to do a big crowd of lill red circles with it.

I did one, but none of the little red circles were at the same level (like on one floor). They were all…eeeh..(sorry I’m french ^_^) placed randomly in the air? I didn’t rigured out how to put them at the same level, and every time I select “Box” in the “Emitter Type”, the particles aren’t has big has in the Belief’s tutorial.

So, could anyone help me please? I’ve been on this since 3 or 4 days.

Any help would be glady appreciated, like always 😉

    Thank you guys! Really!

I’m having a quick cup of tea, so I’m not behind my machine at this moment, but try this:

Use the box emitter, with a very low z-size. The box should almost be a ‘plane’, so all the particles will be spawned on the same height.

As for particle size: you can set the size in the Particle segment of particular.

    Hope this helps,

I think you have to type in “0” for the velocity and that will keep them on the same level.

    Hi,

What you also could do would be to select Bi-Directional or Directional in the Direction menu then set the Emitter Size Y to (0) this way you would keep your velocity which is part of the fun.

    Salut.

Does this effect only work with video footage? I’m referring to the effect (live footage or photo still, or object)

Also, could we not simply copy the settings in the clip?

You could just as well use a still image for your custom particule. The result would be somewhat less dynamic of course.
