I am trying to use particle sort of just as a multiplier. How should i set the settings to “freeze frame” or make the particles static. I tried setting velocity to zero but that makes all the particles just disappear.

Did you try messing with the physics time factor?

Umm, forgive my saying so, but the informational value of this sentence goes towards zero. What are you trying to multiply? What kind of particles are you using? Do you want to achieve a special formation of your particles? Unless you are a bit more specific, I can only point you to the physics time factor just like the others already said. Have you checked the tutorials section? Just this week I’ve published a tute for Particular that covers a few frequently asked questions. If you look at the section for the logo assembly, you might find some info that can help you.

OK i didnt include the information before because i felt it was irrelevant. I am using a custom shape and i just wanted to multiply the custom shape I am not too concerned as to what formation or shape they take on. I am using the custom particle shape to basically just cover an area with the shape and i dont really want the particles moving around at all. The easiest way would be to just create an image in photoshop but i wanted to have the potential to move them in 3d if I so chose to do so.

Mmh, okay. In this case using the PTF is really only all that you need.
