    Hi there,

So i’m very new to this plugin and I’ve been watching a tutorial online where someone applied a texture that has an alpha channel to a MIR object (the texture was a precomposed fractal noise layer with a mask feathering the border).
From what I can see it applied this alpha to the MIR object and subsequently applied the feather (unless i’m mistaking something else for transparency?)

However when I attempt the same it replaces the alpha with black (seen here https://imgur.com/AUCYYA0). I’ve gone through every possible setting including blending modes, shaders etc, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why.

    Any help would be appreciated!

(In case you need more context, Im trying to make a large tube that fades out towards the end so that whatever solid layer I’ve got behind it gradually gets blended in. )

I know there is an issue with the Form plug in with alphas and that may be the same with MIR. I think this used to work but something changed. You could search the Trapcode forum on the cow because there was a big discussion about this withing the last month.
