    Trapcode 3D Stroke issue

    Hi all.

    I’m having a problem taking a project from one machine to another.

    I created a project on a Windows XP machine using AE CS3 with Trapcode 3D Stroke effects (v2.0.3)

    I’m now trying to get the project on an OS machine using AE CS4 with Trapcode (v2.5.0)

    The project comes in fine without any errors except that the 3D Stroke just isn’t appearing in the Viewer.

    I’m guessing it’s the difference in the 3D Stroke versions… Does anyoen know of a good fix?

    Okay I’m in danger of making a habit of solving my own problems now…

    …It appears that what was causing the problem is that in 3D stroke v2.0.3 it’s okay to apply to an empty Shape Layer. However, in v2.5.0 you need to have a ‘filled-in’ Shape Layer.

    Good to know… and at least you posted the solution. Some people figure something out and simply post “Never mind, I fixed it” without being helpful and telling anyone HOW they fixed it.
