Trapcode
I’m looking into getting some trapcode plugins and I’d like your advice on which to get first. I would buy all of them, but I just dont have that much money lying around at the moment, so I’m wondering which is everyones favotite/robust etc. Thanks!

I’d get Particular first, because it seems to be the most versatile. 3D Stroke after that.

download the demos and load them up
play with them as you desire.
when you need to get rid of the X then buy that plugin
rinse, repeat till you own them all!

i highly recommend either particular or 3-d stroke… both are very usefull. Lux is fun, but rather one sided. Sound keys also comes in handy if you are doing things with alot of music.
as the poster above said… download the demos and try em all out.

I started with Trapcode Shine and found lots of uses for it. I now have Particular and it is very cool. Based on price I went with Shine first and convinced my superiors that Particular would only add to this ability. So far this has worked out well.
The next is 3D stroke.
