  Transparent Windows? How can i change it.

  So i just bought a new 2.66 quad, im running FCS 2 on it as well as after effects. For some reason whenever i have mulitiple windows open in safari or if i have FCP and compressor open some of the windows go transparent. Is there a way to turn this off in different programs? This is my third Mac and my new Macbook pro doesnt have this feature either, does anyone know how to turn this off or change the preferences?
