A transparent bkg will not import from Photoshop TIFF into motion. Motion adds a white bkg behind the shaped image in the TIFF. HELP please………….

Make sure the background layer in Photoshop is transparent (has the grey and white checkerboard pattern on it), then when you save it as a tiff in the tiff options dialogue box that comes up click the check box next to Save Transparency. It’ll give you a warning about other applications not supporting it, go ahead and save it and it will import in to Motion with a transparent background.

You can also bring PSD files in to Motion and it will keep all your layers as they were in Photoshop so you’ll have a lot more flexibility.

    Cheers.
