    Hello, I am also new to motion, I have created a moving title and
    have selected transparent for the background it plays,looks good then
    I export as a QT, import into FCP and the background is not transparent.
    ???

    So you’re saying that you see the checkerboard background in Motion but it is not transparent in FCP when layered over another clip?

    You need to 1) set your background to 0% opacity in edit>project properties (should be that way by default) and 2) export as “lossless plus alpha”. But why export at all? Just import the Motion project file itself into FCP and you’ll have your alpha channel.

    Thanks…I saved then imported into FCP.
