I’m attempting to make some desktop icons for personal use, but have had no luck maintaing the transparency of the image. I’m working on a Mac OSX 10.5.1 in PS CS3, and I have my desired image designed and ready to go, but can’t seem to get rid of the white background one the image is saved. My image is showing transparency in PS, I tried saving it as a tiff png gif and icns (via Xcode’s Icon Composer), tried imbeding an alpha channel and still no luck (perhaps I created the alpha incorrectly). I’ve saved them as 8 bit and 32 bit images with no luck. What am I doing wrong here?
