This from CreativeCOW Premiere Pro 2 review by Aanarav Sareen…

“Other enhancements in this category include the long desired “Time Code” effect”

The only timecode effect I want is the real time burn in on output.

Not sure what you mean. But there is a timecode effect, where you can apply it to a sequence, clip or transparent video.

    That’s what Baz means…

    …and that’s what Aanarav means.

It’s an effect you have to put in, but you can do a timecode burn. I’m personally jazzed that I can have a TC window on an MPEG 1 proof if I need to…not just tape.

This was possible with DV Date and similar plug-ins in the past, but having it built right into the application will make things easier for a lot of people.

Is it real time or does it need to be rendered?

It has to be rendered for the final output.

    Eric, you’re on Axio, right?

Matrox has been asked to make this real time in the future. It shouldn’t be too hard.

Cool. That will be a real time saver.
