  • Transititons Tab Has Disappeared in Vegas 10

Pulling my hair out with this issue! Have been using Vegas for about 5 years, and have never run into this. I’m currently using Vegas 10, and the transitions tab has disappeared! When I go to “view” i see transitions is checked – and I CAN see them – but the tab is gone where it has always been, next to Video FX, Explorer, Media generators, etc. I’ve spent hours trying to figure out how to customize that bar and have come up empty! Any advise you could provide would be a huge help!

    Thanks,
    Jon

    View – Transitions
    Alt+7 is the shortcut.

Mike, i know how to turn on and off the transition under “view”. What im having difficulty with is getting the tab back (See attached screenshot). It used to be grouped with the event FX, and media generators, but is no longer there and cannot figure out how to get it back.

I suppose you have already tried View > Window Layouts > Default Layout?

Here are a few suggestions that I found doing a search.

1] Ctrl+Shift on starting Vegas to bring back ALL the factory defaults. Easiest but you loose your settings.

2] Look very very closely around the screen you may just discover it lurking just a handful of Pixels wide and high. Roll your cursor over an edge and carefully drag it bigger. I’ve used this but you need to have eagle eyes!

3] Try changing your screen’s resolution. It may just pop into view.

Here’s another (related to my #3) suggestion.

Change the screen resolution to a higher resolution, find the window and drag it back to the main area, and then reset the resolution back.
