The audio slideshow I’m making has still images that don’t fill the full HD frame, and I’m cropping them. I added fade transitions between each image, then I created a compound clip of all the images to do a broad color correction. When I rendered it to ProRes HQ, the right side of the image doesn’t fade, instead it just looks like a chunk is missing and then reappears instead of a proper fade transition.

I’m not sure if anyone has encountered this. Maybe I’ll try generating a black screen underneath the still images to fool the transition in case it needs to have content filling the frame to properly render. Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated!

That shouldn’t be the case – with or without a Compound.

Perhaps something odd is going on during the scaling. Grab a handful of stills and edit to the timeline/
Select all and in the Inspector change Fit to Fill. Add transitions/ Make into a compound and see whether it works the way it should.
